Linux, Damn Linux And Statistics!

Well, downloaded Suse 10.1 over the weekend, and went to install it this morning. Everything seemed ok, booted into GRUB, ran SUSE etc, one problem – no primary HDD (i.e. non linux HDD), with all my mp3s on. Grr, tried to mount it so it would work, wouldnt let me do it. Went to reboot grub and try and find it manually, nothing. Turns out GRUB corrupted my HDD, changed the FS to SFS (not NTFS) and corrupted the partition table. After spending many hours with Matt running tool after tool, we eventually opened the Partition table manually, physically changed the FS type to NTFS using basically what was a HEX entry, ran Chkdsk, etc, and finally got it working! No Format – Victory :) Try harder next time Linux, you bastard.
