Well, long time since ive been on here! Partly due to the fact ive had a lot of stuff going on at work and partly because ive not had much to blog about!

Have spent most of the last 3 weeks working on Virtualisation research – installing VMWare GSX on Ubuntu/RHEL (sometimes with WINE), installing ESX Server, Xensource, Scalent etc. Ive also continued my training, doing some more CCNA work along with Checkpoint firewall training at work. Ive basically decided what im doing my dissertation project on, so i’ve been learning in-depth all the aspects that are going to come up when i start it so that ill be more than prepared.

Aside from that, i’m building a few quadcore/4GB systems, one for my family for their new PC, and one for my new Virtualisation machine (Xen is a pain and needs one CPU/VCPU per VM so normal x86 machines wont cut it).
