Well, Since Linkin Park there hasnt been much to write about! My sunburn took about 2 weeks to clear up, which left me looking like id taken a brief holiday to North Korea on a nuclear sight seeing trip.

The new interns arrived last Monday, which meant the countdown on our time in Swindon and Intel had begun – 6 weeks and we’re outta here and back to University and the non-real world lol. There are some heavy nights out planned for the next 2 weeks so its going to be very fun

On Thursday, we went to Leeds for the weekend to take part in the World Corporate Games ‘08. Originally i was captain of the Intel Rugby team, however we couldnt get enough people so i went to play badminton instead! We got there on the Thursday and settled down in our rooms in Opal One halls of residence (for posh students ). After registering, we spent Thursday and Friday just chilling out in the flat and in and around Leeds town centre.

On Saturday we got up at 7am to play Badminton against World-class players, which wasnt going to be fun! Needless to say we got beat 4 out of 4 games we played, however i did get 15-21 against one, which was a little victory! Saturday night was fun, we went to Tiger Tiger in Leeds in fancy dress and had a pretty good night which ended up in me dragging the drunkard Fran home lol. All in all a fun weekend, despite getting ran into the back of at a motorway on the way home !!!

Another week, another blog. Not much happening in the world of technology. Procured myself some more various bits and pieces, nothing worthy of note, and carried on playing Runescape.

Went to Linkin Park on Sunday just gone with Gibbs, Fran and Gibbs mates. Watched Inner Party system, Bravery, Enter Shikari, Pendulum, NERD, Jay Z and Linkin Park. It was immense – the MK Bowl is an amazing venue, definitely worth going. Got sunburnt like a mofo though, seeing as i was in the sunshine from 10am to 1am, got home about 2am on sunday night with severe heatstroke lol so i didnt go into work on Monday seeing as i could hardly move. Back in work now, and nothing new is happening here either – 2 months left of my internship then its back to University.

Also, a prank worthy of note – Brad, one of the guys i work with, just made a techie blog – and has just been to the BBC on an event where he spoke to a guy from a big telecoms company, so i left a comment on his blog saying “hi, im blah blah from *telecoms company…etc etc… we’d like to sponsor you through uni if you come work for us etc etc..”. He started jumping around, cheering etc and it took him 2 hours and various ip traces to figure it was me hahah Needless to say he is gutted to have been had so well!
